摘要: High-purity perfluorohexane is a key liquid-radiator candidate for Ring Imaging Cherenkov detectors, provided that sufficient optical transparency can be achieved and maintained in the vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) region. In practice, commercially available samples often exhibit strong VUV absorption due to dissolved contaminants, including water, oxygen, and other residual impurities. In this work, we develop high-purity perfluorohexane through dedicated material preparation together with an efficient circulation purification scheme, and we characterize its optical performance with a custom VUV transmission measurement setup. With continuous purification, the VUV transparency improves substantially; the resulting samples exceed the performance of previously reported commercial products and satisfy the requirements for high-performance liquid Cherenkov radiators. These results provide a practical, scalable route to mitigate the material bottleneck in liquid-radiator RICH detectors and support future detector developments.
