Abstract: In the commissioning experiment of the High-Rigidity Radioactive Ion Beam Line (HIRIBL) separator, radioactive ion beams ranging from Cs to Bi were produced via projectile fragmentation of a 209Bi beam at 851MeV/nucleon in the achromatic mode. Unambiguous particle identification was achieved using the Bρ-TOF-∆E method and confirmed with isomer tagging spectroscopy. These results validate the optical design and overall performance of the separator and pave the way for forthcoming radioactive ion beam physics experiments.
